【摘要】:Tapesealantsaretacky,deformablesolids,whichareusedundercompressionbetweentwoormoresurfacesofsimilarordissimilarsubstratesinavarietyofsealingapplications.Thesetapesarenormallysuppliedinarollformwithareleasepaperinterleverandarehandpressedagainstafixedsubstrate.Thisprocedureisdesignedtogiveanindicationoftheflowcharacteristicsofatapesealantundercontrolledtemperatureandagingconditionswithaspecifiedload.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesalaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingtheflowcharacteristicsofpreformedtapesealantsafteraspecifiedtime,temperature,andload.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.3ThecommitteewithjurisdictionofthisspecificationisnotawareofanysimilarspecificationwithinISOoranyotherorganization.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
