【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversgranularresinsandtestmethodsforpolytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)thathaveneverbeenpreformedormoldedandarenormallyprocessedbymethodssimilartothoseusedinpowdermetallurgyorceramics,orbyspecialextrusionprocesses.ThesePTFEresinsarehomopolymersoftetrafluoroethylene,or,insomecases,modifiedhomopolymerscontainingnotmorethanonepercentbyweightofotherfluoromonomers.Theusualmethodsofprocessingthermoplasticsgenerallyarenotapplicabletothesematerialsbecauseoftheirviscoelasticpropertiesatprocessingtemperatures.ThematerialsincludedhereindonotincludemixturesofPTFEresinwithadditivessuchascolorants,fillersorplasticizers;nordotheyincludereprocessedorregroundresinoranyfabricatedarticles.Themethodsandpropertiesincludedarethoserequiredtoidentifythevarioustypesofresins.AdditionalproceduresareprovidedintheAppendixforfurthercharacterizationoftheresins.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsasdetailedinIEEE/ASTMSI-10aretoberegardedasthestandard,andthepracticesofIEEE/ASTMSI-10areincorporatedherein.ThefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytotheSpecimenPreparationsection,Section9,andtheTestMethodssection,Section10,ofthisspecification:Thisspecificationdoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeNotes3and9forspecificcautionarystatements.Note1InformationinthisspecificationistechnicallyequivalenttorelatedinformationinISO12086-1andISO12086-2.
